I fall in love with disheveled english cottage gardens and also with formal gardens with straight shapes and symmetry, with yew hedges and/or a surprising boxwood embroidery. If I had a garden in the Mediterranean region, it would probably look like the garden Nicole de Vésian created in Bonnieux. She started her stunningly austere aromatic garden in Provence after her retirement at the age of 69 years old…….. Her garden is in the book ‘Private Gardens of the Fashion World’ by Claire de Virieu. The photos comes from Direction régionale des affaires culturelles de Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.
Those flowers look wonderful in a mosaic! Beautiful gathering of colours! And in the second mosaic, I especially love the rocky walkway! Very creative photos!

Ranunculus are grown commercially just up the road from us. I like them, too, so many layers of sweet petals and such lovely colors!
