Det började med att jag besökte det stora varuhuset och där hittade jag Nora Ephrons film 'Julie och Julia' på DVD. Jag gillade verkligen den filmen. En riktig feel good-film. Ville ta reda litet mer om Julia Child och klickade hem 'My life in France' skriven av Julia Child med hjälp av släktingen Alex Prud'homme. 1948 när Julia kom till Le Havre i Frankrike med sin make Paul, diplomat, matkännare och vinälskare, så talade hon knappt någon franska och var heller inte någon särskilt bra kock. Paul och Julia hade sin bil med över Atlanten en Buick, och i den körde de mot Paris. De stannade för att äta lunch i Rouen. Denna lunch förändrade Julias liv för alltid, aldrig hade hon ätit så underbar mat...... För att göra en lång historia kort, Julia blev så småningom en världsberömd kokboksförfattare och TV-personlighet. Du kan läsa mer i boken, men observera att den inte innehåller några recept.
It all started when I visited the large department store and there I found Nora Ephrons movie 'Julie and Julia' on DVD. I really liked that movie. A real feel good movie. Wanted to find out little more about Julia Child and clicked home 'My Life in France' written by Julia Child with the help of kin Alex Prud'homme. 1948 when Julia arrived to Le Havre in France with her husband Paul, diplomat, gourmand and wine lover, she spoke almost no French at all, and was also not a very good cook. Paul and Julia took their car with them over the Atlantic, a Buick, and drove towards Paris. They stopped for lunch in Rouen. It changed Julia's life forever, she had never eaten such delicious food as she did that day. To make a long story short: As you knew Julia wrote wonderful cookbooks about the french cuisine och was also a famous TV-personality.
